Ettington Pre-School offers funded places for 2, 3 & 4 year olds*
*Early Education Funding for 3 & 4 year olds is available for all children from the term following their third birthday. Children who are eligible can receive their 15 hours per week of funded childcare at Ettington Pre-school. Some parents are eligible for an extended 15 hours a week which is paid by the government, these are offered on the basis of a minimum of four full day sessions (8:30am-3:30pm) and equates to 28 hours of funding per week but only in our Buttercups room and places are limited. Please call Clare Galsworthy on 01789 740919 for more details on how we offer funded hours.
Your funding claim is conditional upon registering with your Local Education Authority and completing the necessary documentation by a specific date each term. Ettington Pre-School holds copies of these forms & can assist with the completion of these documents with you. We will then claim the funding on your behalf and this will itemised on your invoice.
Preschool can claim the 15hrs funding for you, however, for the extended 15hrs parents will have to apply for it. To find out if you are eligible for extended 15hrs visit: https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk
There are 2 types of Early Education Funding for 2 year olds one for working parents and 2Help Childcare Funding. To find out if you are eligible for funding for 2 year olds visit: https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk
Before and After Club
Ettington Before and After School Club provides wrap around care for children from reception to Year 6. We provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all children. The Club strives to provide a fun and enjoyable place for the children to come play, relax and provide games and activities to suit all their interests. We follow the curriculum and plan and observe our reception children to ensure we are supporting their learning and development.
Breakfast Club
7.45 am until 8.45 am
The children have a wide selection of breakfast to choose from such as: croissant, toast, fruit and a range of cereals. We provide the opportunity for some play before they go to school. We then take the children to their lines on the playground and wait until they are all safely in the building with their teachers.
After School Club
3.20 pm until 5.30 pm
With the opportunity to either book until 4.30 pm which does not include the snack or until 5.30 pm which does include a snack, such as bagels/muffins/crumpets or wraps with fillings, a choice of fruit and of course a yummy pudding. We cater for all dietary needs.
At the After School Club we have a range of free flow activities for the children to enjoy. We also do a range of adult led activities which include science experiments, junk modelling and group sport games outside. The children have access to the computers but we try to encourage the children to complete homework as well as play maths or science games.
